Cllr Tom McClure who will be sadly missed.

It is with deep regret that we announce the sad death of Cllr Tom McClure. Tom died in hospital on Saturday evening. Tom represented Hinckley Castle Ward on the Borough Council and Lash Hill Ward on Burbage Parish Council.

Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group, and fellow Hinckley Castle Ward Councillor Stuart Bray said, "We are shocked and extremely saddened by Tom's death.

"Tom has been an active councillor in many parts of the area. His former architectural background made his contribution to council affairs invaluable. He was especially interested in planning and parking issues.

"Despite his failing health, he still came along to the budget Council meeting a fortnight ago to take part in the debate.

"Our thoughts at this time are with Nancy his wife and his friends and family."
