Hinckley and Bosworth Liberal Democrats are campaigning for the Police Station in Market Bosworth to be re-opened to the public.

The police station is currently closed to public access.

The campaign has been launched by Liberal Democrat Councillor Bill Crooks.

Cllr Crooks said, "Local residents in Market Bosworth and other nearby villages are concerned about the Police Stations closure. I hope Leicestershire police will listen to local peoples concerns and re-open it, even if it is only for a few hours a day."

Cllr Crooks has launched a petition to re-open the Police Station which can be signed online at http://campaigns.libdems.org.uk/reopenmarketbosworthpolic

Shadow Home Secretary Chris Huhne visited Market Bosworth to meet with Cllr Crooks and Lib Dem parliamentary spokesman for Bosworth Michael Mullaney to discuss the campaign to reopen it.
