At December's meeting of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council Liberal Democrat leader Cllr Stuart Bray outlined his desire to see Argents Mead turned into a special "Jubilee Park".
Cllr Stuart Bray said "Nationally there is a group who want to create a series of special parks across the country to coincide with Her Majesty the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012. My administration believes that Argents Mead is a historic and unique open space that should be protected and enhanced for the benefit of generations to come.
I think this is exactly the sort of place that would befit a Jubilee Park."
