Business secretary welcomes progress in Hinckley and Bosworth

A Cabinet Minister visited Hinckley and Bosworth and was impressed with the work going on in the Borough.

Dr Vince Cable MP, the Business Secretary came and spoke to a packed audience of Liberal Democrat members and supporters at Hinckley Golf Club.

Leader of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council Stuart Bray who attended the meeting with Vince Cable said "It was great to have the Business Secretary in Hinckley and Bosworth to see the good work that is happening here.

"Developments like MIRA on the A5 and the exciting developments that are underway in the town centre are bringing jobs and income into our Borough during these tough economic times.

"Vince Cable praised the actions of the Lib Dem led Borough Council, which has frozen Council Tax, while protecting front-line services. Vince Cable welcomed the fact that Lib Dems still control the Borough Council."
