Following the Lib Dems victory in the Council elections in May Michael Mullaney is aiming to win Bosworth for the Lib Dems this time

Lib Dems in Hinckley and Bosworth go into the election in positive spirits. Having gained the Borough Council from the Conservatives in May they now aim to win the parliamentary seat.
Lib Dem parliamentary candidate Cllr Michael Mullaney said "We showed in May that the Lib Dems can win here winning the popular vote and the council, we can get a Lib Dem MP in Bosworth this time.
"We need a new MP who has a track record of fighting for our vital local services. Our schools, health service and police don't get the funding they need under the Tories. We need a new Lib Dem MP who lives locally and will work full time to campaign for better services locally.
"In this year's local elections and European elections the Lib Dems finished ahead of both the Tories and Labour. There's a real chance for real change at this election. After years of Tory neglect we can elect a local MP who will fight for the local services we rely on".
