Leicestershire will gain £4,524,849 in 2018, this funding will allow local authorities to create the new school places the authority will need.
Michael said: "Schools throughout Leicestershire are some of the best in the country and I have had parents contacting me about not being able to get a place at the school that is best for their child. I am glad that Ministers are now ensuring this extra funding is being put into school places."
