Back Paul Williams to be the new Burbage Stretton Councillor on Thursday

Voters in Burbage are once again going to the polls this Thursday to elect a new Parish councillor. The election follows the sad death of veteran councillor David Inman earlier this year.

Liberal Democrats are delighted that long-standing Burbage resident Paul Williams is standing in the by-election. Paul was born and bred locally and went to school in Burbage and lives in the village with his wife Kerry on Rugby Road.

At the recent Borough Council by-election just 37 votes separated the Lib Dems and Conservatives. Labour came a poor third. Many people are angry at how the Conservatives have let our area down. Since taking over the Council they have hiked up Council Tax and cut services. Now they are planning to swamp our area with lots of extra development, causing even more chaos on our roads.

This election cannot change control of the Council but it does give you the chance to elect someone who will stand up for our area.

The Millennium Hall on Britannia Road will be the polling station. It will be open 7am -10pm on Thursday 16th November. Make sure your vote counts!
