Big turnout for Michael Mullaney’s campaign launch for Bosworth
There was a big turnout for the launch of the Liberal Democrat campaign to gain the Bosworth seat from the Conservatives.
The Lib Dems held a big launch meeting at the New Plough Inn in Hinckley where parliamentary candidate Michae Mullaney was officially adopted as Lib Dem parliamentary candidate for Bosworth by members for the general election.
Michael Mullaney said "This is the fourth time I've stood to be Lib Dem MP for Bosworth and it's the biggest campaign launch meeting I've had, showing how the Lib Dem's are the growing party locally and nationally.
"Hinckley and Bosworth needs a new MP who lives locally and has a track record of fighting for our vital local services, health, education, police.
"The recent successful campaign to restore X-ray services locally shows the difference a local camapigner fighting for our area can make. If I'm elected the local MP I can do even more for our area.
"In May Lib Dems gained Hinckley and Bosworth council from the Conservatives winning the popular vote. Now we can elect a local, campaigning Lib Dem MP who will work all year round for our area."
