Call for MP to resign

27 Nov 2009

Calls have been made for Bosworth's Conservative MP David Tredinnick to resign.

It follows him having been found guilty of misusing public funds.

Michael Mullaney Mr Tredinnick's Liberal Democrat opponent, said "This is the third time David Tredinnick has been involved in something like this. In the 1990s he was involved in the cash for questions scandal. More recently the media revealed he had made bizarre claims for astrology software and tried to claim for an intimate relationships course and now there is this.

"David Tredinnick has been an MP since 1987. If, after twenty years, and three different episodes he still hasn't learnt the rules he never will.

"Three strikes and your out. It's time for him to step down as an MP"
