A meeting was recently held by West Leicestershire NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) about the future of Health services in Hinckley.

Amongst those attending was Hinckley County Councillor Michael Mullaney.

Following the meeting Michael said "The Hinckley urban area, including Barwell, Earl Shilton and Burbage is the 2nd biggest population concentration in the County outside Leicester. With a rapidly growing population our area needs more, not fewer, NHS services locally. Last year several thousand local people signed a petition I organised calling for improved health services locally.

"At the very least any future plans for health services in Hinckley should include the need for a Walk-in Centre locally, I will continue to urge local NHS chiefs to accept that improved NHS services like a walk in Centre or a Minor Injuries Unit are needed here in Hinckley".
