Lib Dem County Cllr for Hinckley Michael Mullaney said ""The Paddock" is a piece of green space that residents in the Coventry Road area have campaigned for years to keep. Many residents will welcome the news that the Planning Committee has voted to protect this natural habitat, the last piece of original countryside left in the Coventry Road area of Hinckley."
Cllr David Bill said "As everyone in the area knows, we have all been trying to save this last remaining stretch of original countryside in the Coventry Road area. It will now be down to local residents to come forward to make their feelings known the next time the Government Inspector arrives. I am afraid this is not the end of the story.
