Fantastic response to X-ray petition in town centre
Shoppers were queuing in Hinckley town centre to sign a petition to get X-ray facilities back in the town.
A stall with the petition calling for the X-ray facilities to come back to the town was run in Castle Street in Hinckley town centre by Lib Dem parliamentary candidate Cllr Michael Mullaney and a team of councillors and volunteers.
Michael Mullaney said "The response was fantastic. On just the day of the stall we got well over 800 people signing the petition back to the town. This adds to all the other signatures being collected by the canpaign already.
"It's clear our large and growing area of Hinckley, Burbage, Barwell, Earl Shilton and nearby villages like Stoke Golding need improved NHS services. For a start we need X-ray facilities back in the town urgently".
