Hinckley and Bosworth Lib Dems head for conference

16 Sep 2016

Liberal Democrat Councillors and members in Hinckley and Bosworth are heading off to attend the party's conference in Brighton this weekend.

Amongst those attending the conference, which lasts from Saturday 17th to Tuesday 20th September is Hinckley and Bosworth's Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate Councillor Michael Mullaney.

Michael Mullaney said "After the disappointments of last year's elections, the Lib Dems will be in a positive mood at this conference following a string of council by-election victories recently. Including two in the East Midlands yesterday, where the Lib Dems gained a safe Labour seat in North-East Derbyshire and a seat in Burton Latimer in Northamptonshire.

"Amongst the issues being discussed at conference are motions to do with Europe, Education and justice. With Labour in disarray and the Conservatives needing a strong opposition, this is the chance for Lib Dems to set out our stall to people here in Hinckley and Bosworth across the country."
