Hinckley Councillors urge action for Outlands Croft

21 May 2012

Hinckley Liberal Democrat Councillors David Bill, Dave Cope, Michael Mullaney and Don Wright are urging Jelsons to take action to improve the roads and pavements on a Hinckley estate.

People living in the Outlands Croft estate contacted them after waiting for Jelsons to repair pavements and roads on the estate.

Michael Mullaney contacted Jelsons and asked them to take action to finish the top-surfacing of the pavements on Overlord Drive and Utah Close and to fill in the holes on the road at the start of Overlord Drive and the turning into Utah Close. Jelsons have informed him they will do the work next week.

Residents also raised issues over access from the estate to Wykin Park. David Bill has agreed to take up these issues at a meeting between council officers and Jelsons. Cllr Bill intends to raise the issue of getting a proper entrance to Wykin Park from Outlands Croft, as a broken part of the metal fence is being used as an entrance at present. He also intends to raise the issue of the need for a proper footpath up the slope from Overlord Drive to Wykin Park.
