Plans to develop Hinckley's town centre have been showcased at the Liberal Democrats conference.

Cllr Stuart Bray, Liberal Democrat deputy leader of the council and regeneration spokesman spoke to a packed meeting about how the Lib Dem run council is developing plans for a new town centre.

Cllr Bray said "Our plans for a new town centre for Hinckley will deliver a new bus station, a new cinema and many other new facilities. With a growing population it's vital we deliver a town centre that's fit for a big, growing town.

"That's what our plans will deliver and I'm glad I had this opportunity to let a national audience know how the Lib Dem council is improving Hinckley. Hinckley's vision was well received by conference delegates form across the country who are keen to follow Hinckley's lead"

The meeting was organised by the British Council of Shopping Centres (BCSC). Other speakers included Jeremy Collins, the President of the BCSC, and the Liberal Democrat shadow minister for communities Dan Rogerson MP.
