Huge save X-ray petition submitted to Hinckley and Bosworth Council

A petition of well over 2,000 names calling for X-ray facilities to be brought back to Hinckley was submitted to the Borough Council.

The Liberal Democrat group submitted the petition at the recent full council meeting.

Presenting the petition Hinckley Lib Dem Cllr Michael Mullaney said "A huge thank you to everyone who signed the petition.

"It was a remarkable response. The huge response to the petition, along with the offer of the Lib Dem borough council to loan the NHS the money to get the X-ray facility back, has helped force the government and Health authorities to agree to give us vital X-ray services back in the town.
