Lib Dem Council picks up another award

Hinckley & Bosworth's Liberal Democrat Council Group has once again been rewarded for stewardship of the Borough Council at the Party's Annual Spring Conference.

Lib Dem run Hinckley and Bosworth picked up an award for their efforts in supporting Culture, Leisure and Regeneration. Judges were particularly impressed with the effort that the Council has made with the new Hinckley Club for Young People project, the bus station development and the decision to reverse the sale of Brodick Park which the previous Conservative administration tried to do.

Picking up the award Lib Dem Leader Stuart Bray said, "It is obviously a tremendous honour for us to have been recognised by our colleagues for the work we have done for the Borough. This is on top of the award we received last year for tackling anti-social behaviour.

"Under our Leadership, the Borough Council continues to be the best performing District Council in Leicestershire and we will do all we can to ensure that we deliver the best quality services at the lowest possible cost for the people of Hinckley and Bosworth."
