Lib Dem’s win Burbage by-election

Liberal Democrats in Hinckley and Bosworth are celebrating a win in yesterday's Burbage Lash Hill by-election

The winning Liberal Democrat Candidate Russell Turner secured 57% of the vote to take the Lash Hill ward of Burbage Parish Council. The seat had previously been held by an Independent who stood down for personal reasons.

The new Lib Dem councillor Russell Turner said "Thank you to everyone who voted for me in the election. As a long term resident of the village it's a great honour to be able to work for and serve the people of Burbage."
