Local Liberal Democrats have launched a massive survey of local people's experiences of the NHS

Tens of thousands of people across Hinckley and Bosworth are being asked their views on the state of local health services.

Hinckley and Bosworth Liberal Democrats are distributing the survey, which is believed to be one of the biggest of its kind ever undertaken in our area.

Survey organiser Michael Mullaney said "We want to hear local people's experiences of the NHS.

"The NHS survey gives people the opportunity to tell us what they think about local hospitals, GP services and dentistry as well as their views on the way the NHS is run as a whole.

"The Liberal Democrats want to see good quality local health services here in Hinckley and Bosworth and across the country," said Michael. "We believe that local residents should have more say over decisions about their local health service and this survey is one way we can put that belief into practice.

"People are keen to take part in the survey. We have already had many hundreds of surveys returned and we are getting more back in the post everyday.

"We will be using the results of the survey to help guide our campaigning on local health issues. People's responses to the survey will help me and the rest of the Liberal Democrat team fight more effectively to get the best for our local NHS.

"We will also be submitting a copy of the survey's final results to local health officials."
