Michael Mullaney signs Nurses pledge

Cllr Michael Mullaney the Lib Dem parliamentary candidate for Bosworth has signed the RCN's Pledge to be a Nursing Champion ahead of the General Election on 8th June.

The RCN's Nursing Pledge is part of the campaign which calls on all political parties to improve, value and invest in nursing by supporting the RCN's Nursing Counts Manifesto.

Michael Mullaney commented:

"The Nursing Counts Manifesto highlights the need to seriously invest in the NHS, and nursing in particular, that's why the Liberal Democrats will put an extra £6billion into the NHS and social care funded by an extra penny on income tax.

"The work our Nurses and Health Care support workers do both locally here in Leicestershire and nationally deserves recognition. When I was younger I worked as a Care Worker for elderly people and saw first-hand the tremendous work our nurses and carers do. "
