Sign the petition for a fair deal for Hinckley and Bosworth

17 Apr 2009

Liberal Democrats in Hinckley and Bosworth have launched a petition calling on the Government and Regional Assembly to reduce the number of Houses and Travellers site being imposed on Hinckley and Bosworth.

The author of the petition Cllr Stuart Bray said "Hinckley and Bosworth is being asked to build far more houses than many other local councils. Hinckley and Bosworth is also being expected to find more sites for Travellers than most other local councils in Leicestershire.

"This is not right. The Government and Conservative dominated Regional Assembly are treating people in Hinckley and Bosworth unfairly. I urge local people to sign the petition for a fair deal for Hinckley and Bosworth."

Hinckley and Bosworth are being asked by the government and Regional Assembly to build 11,700 houses and find 42 permanent Travellers pitches.
