Sign up to stop the Burbage Phone Mast

18 Apr 2009

A local councillor has launched a campaign to stop a phone mast being built in Burbage.

Vodaphone have put in a planning application to put up a phone mast on Rugby Road, Burbage.

Local Liberal Democrat Councillor Stuart Bray believes it would be wrong to put a phone mast there and has launched a petition against the plans.

Cllr Bray said "Vodaphone propose putting up a mast in the middle of a residential area, near to local schools and nursing homes. This would be a totally unsuitable place for a phone mast.

"I've now delivered petitions to people living around the site of the planned mast and am already getting lots back in the post. Hopefully Vodaphone will realise this is a bad location for a mast and will withdraw their plans."
