Stephen Dorrell welcomed to Lib Dems as many other former Leicestershire Tory supporters switch to Lib Dems

Former Conservative MP for Loughborough and Charnwood and former Health Secretary Stephen Dorrell has joined the Lib Dems

Stoehen Dorrell's decision to join the Lib Dems reflects the same path that many former Conservative voters I speak to on the doorsteps in Bosworth have taken. Many moderate former Conservatives are appalled at the rightward lurch of the Conservative Party and the prospect of Boris Johnson remaining Prime Minister and the reckless way he is handling Brexit.
