We need everyone's help to safeguard our local hospitals

The local NHS is in financial crisis locally as well as nationally. We seem to have been successful in our attempts to stop moves to transfer services away from the George Eliot but now we are pressing hard for the re-opening of the North Ward at the new Hinckley Community Hospital and for a commitment to proceed with Phase 2 of the new hospital. If you would like to get involved please let us know. We really do need everyone's help.

A real improvement to the heart of Hollycroft

We were delighted to be at the opening of the new supermarket in Clifton Way. It has taken years to reach this point and we hope that this at last will be a turning point in everyone's fortunes. Hard on the heels comes the news that the Deveron Way Church is being given the go ahead to proceed with the proposed community centre which will open up onto the Clifton Way forecourt. For this to be successful everyone on Hollycroft will have to work together. Now we need to see progress on expanding the nearby medical facilities.

In our view controversial proposals should be subject to public consultation at the earliest possible moment. We are hopeful that these particular plans have been dropped - but why pick on Stoke Road in the first place?

He had every intention of standing again for the Trinity Ward of Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council which he represented for 8 years alongside Councillor David Cope.
