The decision on plans for a compost site between Fenny Drayton and Higham on the Hill has been delayed. The Compost site was due to be debated on and voted at the County Council's Planning Control Committee this Thursday 17th November. However, the issue has now been pulled from the meeting as County planning chiefs are waiting for further information from the applicant. The issue is now likely to be debated at the 15th December meeting of the Committee. Liberal Democrat Councillors Bill Crooks and Michael Mullaney, who collected a petition of several hundred names against the plans, have urged local residents who haven't yet done so, to use the time to write in opposing the plans. People can object to the compost site plans by writing to Planning Department, County Hall, Glenfield, LE3 8ST or emailing planningcontrol@leics.gov.uk, quoting the reference number 2011/0499/04
