Keep the Number 7 bus
Keep the Number 7 bus Councillors in Hinckley and Bosworth are being urged to support a campaign to keep the only bus service that serves a host of local villages. The Number 7 bus services, which connects local villages including, Fenny Drayton, Sheepy Magna and Parva, Congerstone and Witherley to Ashby De La Zouch and Nuneaton faces being axed. Conservative run Leicestershire County Council have been consulting on scrapping the service. Councillors Bill Crooks (Liberal Democrat, Barlestone) and Michael Mullaney (Liberal Democrat, Hinckley Trinity) are putting a motion to the next Borough Council meeting calling for the Number 7 to be kept. Cllr Bill Crooks said "This service needs to be retained. I have been contacted by people who use this service to get to work. At a time when the Coalition government is trying to encourage people into work, it's wrong to get rid of the only bus service for people in these villages.
