Michael Mullaney calls on Labour supporters to switch to the Lib Dems

Commenting on the re-election of Jeremy Corbyn as Leader of the Labour Party, Bosworth Lib Dem parliamentary candidate Cllr Michael Mullaney said: "The re-election of Jeremy Corbyn means Labour's internal war will continue. He has the support of only one in five Labour MPs. Labour can't even form an opposition, never mind an alternative Government.

Huge petition on Hinckley NHS services submitted to the Borough Council

A paper petition containing almost 6000 names calling for the keeping of Mount Road Hospital in Hinckley was submitted to the Borough Council by local NHS campaigners yesterday, another copy of the petition will be sent to the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) for West Leicestershire. In addition to the nearly 6000 named paper petition around another 3000 have signed online petitions to save the hospital.
