The Liberal Democrats have announced they will invest £34 million more in schools and colleges in Leicestershire over the next parliament. The funding for Leicestershire would reverse cuts to frontline school and college budgets, protect per pupil funding in real terms and ensure no school loses out from changes to funding arrangements. £23million of the funding would be spent on protecting the Pupil Premium, introduced by the Liberal Democrats to help the most disadvantaged children. Hinckley and Bosworth elected 5 Conservatives, 4 Lib Dems and no Labour County Councillors. In the Bosworth constituency it's even closer. Of the 8 County Council seats that are entirely in Bosworth constituency the Lib Dems and Tories won 4 seats each.
